Mother’s Blessing Ceremony

What is a Mother’s Blessing Ceremony?

A sacred gathering of women in efforts to uplift, empower, and strengthen an expectant mother for her initiation ahead. It is an opportunity for the expectant mother to transmute any fears, doubts, and worries while being affirmed in her power by the women who love her the most. It fortifies an expectant mother and gives her a firm foundation to stand on. Teaching her to rely on the strength of her ancestors, family, and friends.

What to expect?

I will facilitate a ceremony at your designated location that includes a sound bowl meditation, singing, dancing, tea, waist bead creation, prayer, storytelling, laughing, crying, and a lot of love. You can expect for everyone who attends to be transformed in some way.

When should I have one?

Within the last 2 months or so of your pregnancy.

How many people should I invite?

As opposed to a baby shower, a mother’s blessing ceremony is more intimate in nature. Only those who can add to your peace should be invited. A good size ranges from 5-25 people, though I can accommodate larger groups (up to 50).
